6 months old!

Can it be? The boys are already 6 months old? Time really does fly by! I'll try to update you on the latest happenings while they are napping...

Gavin's Stats:

27 3/8 inches long (80%)

17 lbs 5 1/2 oz (50%)

17 3/4 inch head circumference (50%)

Lucas' Stats:

25 1/2 inches long (25%)
15 lbs 7 oz (15%)

17 inch head circumference (27%)

Gavin is on rice cereal and loves it - he would eat all day if he could. A very sweet and usually happy baby. Vin usually only cries when he is overly hungry/tired or something scares him. Loves to coo, and has recently started babbling to himself. He isn't very interested in sitting up or supporting his own weight at this time, but instead knows we'll take him where he needs to be. He now holds objects in his hands and pushes up to 90 degrees to see the world around him while on his tummy. He enjoys his stationary entertainer and taking his binky out of his mouth and throwing it. Gavin has a great laugh and will smile back at you when you look his way almost 100% of the time! He is my little snuggle bug and a total flirt!

Lucas has prooven to be our more difficult baby, which just shows the boys are individuals! He still has reflux and is now on previcid to help calm his acid reflux - we hope this will help! He gave up on rice cereal, but we're going to try again this month. He cries often, but usually just wants to be held or walk around and see the world around him. We think when Luc can communicate better to us, and is mobile he'll be one happy little guy. He is very interested in sitting on his own and pushing his legs down to "stand" with our help - in fact we sometimes can't get him to bend his knees to sit! He has also started babbling and cooing to himself; and has a loud delighted squeal he has developed. When he laughs he often develops the hiccups he gets so excited! Luc's baby blue eyes (that are so big we say he is "luc-ing at you") and lashes longer than momma's will definately break the ladies hearts one day - such a cutie!

The babies are stirring, thats all for now - i'm going to spend some time (when I have it) writing my "dear baby" letters for their first 6 months that I hopefully can keep up with every few months - I just love that idea, and love reading Shannon's! :) More later...
