1. Mommy quits her job and we move to Olympia!
2. The boys get their own rooms and big boy beds, they even pick out their bedding themselves.
3. Lots of fun outings: Oregon coast aquarium, touch a truck where we get to sit in diggers and trucks, farmers market, library reading time, children's museum (we buy a membership!), we even decide the local park is "our park" and go there almost every day!
4. A few firsts: first carousel ride, riding the city bus,
5. No more binkies - we are officially big boys no more baby things in our house!
6. First holidays in our own house, no traveling for halloween, thanksgiving or christmas! We go trick or treating for the first time with our cousins, have family to our house for thanksgiving and cook our first turkey and even have family to our house for christmas!
7. Doran home preschool is in session and we do tons of fun activities: painting rocks, activity jars, homemade playdoh, playing with dried peas in a bin, dot art coloring, grocery store scavenger hunt, water games, learning letters & numbers and how to write them and practicing shapes.
8. The boys are constantly talking and really never stop, Lucas even talks in his sleep. It makes for very funny afternoons and they are still in the 'sweet' stage no terrible twos for us, there are some moments that are difficult but mostly we have very sweet boys still, we are lucky!
9. We take our first trip to the ER, once for each kid and both for eye injuries. Lego duplos and train tracks make excellent weapons apparently. All checks out but we get some pretty big bumps and bruises - we are turning into rough boys!
10. The boys learn how to play games and start being very creative and imaginative. New games are invented daily including the "kitty nest" game and "cooking" in our kitchen with very elaborate rules and jobs. We have weekly family game night to play preschool games like chutes and ladders, candy land, don't spill the beans, break the ice. Both boys love to play and are all about rules (some real some made up).
